We just got back from visiting my sister's family in Indiana and Jeremiah's Aunt and Uncle in Ohio. It was such a fantastic trip, Amaya was a great traveler. We spent Thursday and most of Friday with my sister. Amaya had a lot of fun playing with her cousins, but got a little selfish with a couple of toys. Sharing is not her thing:).

On Friday I was able to go out to lunch with my college suite mates, Doni and Nicole. It was fun seeing them again and having Amaya meet Ava, Doni's daughter, for the first time.

Friday evening we packed up and headed to Ohio to visit with Aunt Gina and Uncle Drew. We had a lot of fun visiting places in their area and spending time with them.

Girls weekend 2008

This was our 5th year getting together for a girl weekend! Linda, Lisa, Doni, Nicole, and I look forward to our time together each year. This year we went to Port Huron, Mi and stayed with Linda. We did a lot of shopping and sight seeing and the weather was perfect! It was a blast. This was also my first time away from Amaya for more than a day. Jeremiah stayed home with her so that I could go. I missed them both so much!

Worlds of Fun

Each year Jeremiah's work pays for the company to spend the day at Worlds of Fun! This year we took Amaya and she got to see Snoopy. She wasn't sure what to think about him at first but warmed up quickly:). Here are some pictures of our day.

Amaya has been enjoying all of her birthday gifts. She loves her new activity pool! Amaya has a very short attention span and I was able to keep her busy in the pool for over a half an hour! I love this weather and it has been so nice getting outside with her.

She went for her one year check up this past Monday and is doing great. She is now 19 pounds 4.5 ounces! The dr. said that she is ready for a front facing car seat. We bought her one on Monday evening and she is loving it. I haven't heard her cry in her car seat at all this past week, I love it!

Birthday Party!

We had a very eventful day. Amaya had over 30 guests attend her 1st birthday party. She loved the cake (until she got frosting in her eyes) and her presents. It was such a hot day for a party and the house was so crowded, I felt like I didn't get to talk to anyone the entire time.
