11 Months old

I can't believe our baby is 11 months old today! I just sent out invites for her first birthday and I am so excited. I can't wait to watch her dig in to her cake!

She's getting big and is so expressive! I love to here her babble:). This week she got her first tooth! It's so cute and little:). She is also eating more and more solid food (cheese, lunch meat, fruit).

Amaya is all back to normal. We are happy to see her smile again. We have been going outside practically everyday, we love this weather! Amaya and I wake up and go for a walk as soon as we can. It's a great way to start the day and she really enjoys it. She is very talkative on our walks and loves to take her dolly along. She is hooked on her baby doll.

Monday evening I thought that Amaya felt warmer than usual and so I took her temperature. It was almost 103! She had eaten well that day and was in an extremely good mood so I wasn't too concerned. I decided to just watch her and see if it would come down. It did for a while but kept coming back. I had planned to call the doctor in the morning to get her an appointment but she continued to get worse.

Wednesday morning, Amaya woke up at 1:00am screaming! I went in to check on her and she was burning up! I took her temperature and it was 104.5! I woke Jeremiah up right away and we headed out to Children's Mercy south. Amaya cried for about 2 hours straight. She was so exhausted (we were up from 1-4 am). I guess Amaya has an ear infection and is now on antibiotics.

She seems to be doing much better today. We are so happy that she was able to come home with us last night. I was afraid that she might have to stay at the hospital. She is a little whiny but all things considered she is doing great. Jeremiah and I are very tired today. I was lucky enough to get a nap. I'm sure we'll all sleep great tonight:).

Visit with my sister's family

We had such a good time with Nicole and her family. It was definitely a full house with Nicole, Matthew, Adrianna, Levi, and Lydia. . I am posting a lot of pictures and a video this week! My only regret is that I didn't get any picture of my sister and I with our kids. I need to make it a priority next time we get together.
