Happy Birthday Amaya

A year ago today I was waiting for my sweet baby girl. She came in to this world at 11:56pm, after over 17 hours of labor! I can't believe how much time has gone by. What a great blessing she has been in our lives. I love being a mom, it is a dream come true. Tomorrow we will celebrate her first year with friends and family. I can't wait to see her eat her cake and open gifts!

The month of May is a busy time for us. We had family visit and we are planning Amaya's first birthday party! I can't believe our baby is almost one. She is getting close to walking but is still too scared to stand on her own. She is really in to the "Backyardigans" and the "Wonderpets. I love to watch her dance when she hears the theme songs, it cracks me up. I even bought the songs to play on my ipod when we're in the car, she loves it!

Mother's Day

I had a great first mother's day. I woke up to pancakes and eggs:) and mother's day gifts from Jeremiah and Amaya. We went out for lunch with my family at Texas Roadhouse (my fave) and then headed to Topeka to visit the rest of Amaya's grandma's. We had a great day and Amaya was such a good girl. I am so blessed to be a mother, it is the best thing in the world!

One of my favorite things to do is make Amaya laugh. Today I was just making some funny faces and she started cracking up. I was lucky enough to get her on tape without her noticing:). (Bo is sneezing near the end of the video).
